• UMC WAP is supported by two data transmission technologies: GPRS and CSD (GSM-data). You can configure your WAP settings as follows:
• Through the automatic configuration ordering service on the UMC web-site;
• Sending an SMS-request;
• Manually, according to the table of standard settings;
• Following the detailed instructions.
  
  
• Once you ordered the settings, you get an SMS with the configuration data for your phone. After you enter the parameters, a new profile with configuration data will appear in your profile list. Now your phone is ready for WAP! Do not forget to activate the service.

Configuring Your WAP via SMS

• You can configure your WAP in either of two ways:
  
  
• 1) Send an empty SMS request on 1020 and then send several SMSes on 1020 to order your configuration. SMSes on/from 1020 are free of charge.
  
  
• 2) Send an empty SMS on a number corresponding to your phone model in the table below (usually, you can find the model indicated underneath the battery of your phone).

Configuring Your WAP Automatically

• Automatic configuration permits easier and faster set up of  WAP service. In order to configure your phone, simply send an empty SMS to a number, which corresponds to your GSM model in the table below (usually, you can find the model indicated underneath the battery of your phone).
  
  
• You will get a reply with relevant configuration parameters to be saved in your phone
